Summer Colors

Draw inspiration when decorating from summer’s most vibrant colors. Evoke a jovial day at the beach with colors like sea blue and honeydew, or a warm summer evening with soft orange and dandelion.

Bring summer’s fields to your wall with a bright yellow tapestry. The pattern of tapestry resembles dandelion crowns.

Never be afraid to use this bright and rambunctious color anywhere. Dandelion yellow bed skirt helps to elevate the bed, while giving the bedroom summer warmth.

Bring the translucent waters of some tropic island into your living room. Curtain divider not only provides functionality to limited space, but also is serene and calming like that from which it draws inspiration.

Whether you live on the West Coast, East Coast, or miles away from the ocean, bring all the colors of the water right to your backyard. Potted plants look even nicer in containers with hues of sea blue.

The ebb and flow of the ocean’s waters are well represented in a blue ombre pillowcase.

Summer sunsets can last well into the winter with this paper lantern. The warm oranges hung over the dinner table make even weekday dinners feel alfresco.

Sunset’s colors look best in the bedroom where burnt oranges and warm yellows make the room warm and enveloping.

These beeswax candles won’t melt — they’re actually cylindrical glass vases disguised as the real thing. Strips of beeswax in sunset shades were wrapped around the vases for a subtle striped effect. Votive candles placed inside give the cylinders their glow.

With its light base and sweet appeal, honeydew is a shade of green that plays well with others. Here, honeydew walls complement lighter and darker accents throughout a dining room.

While the pattern for this floor paint is summery itself, adding honeydew makes it just as sweet and no less refreshing. Consider painting a floor with this pattern.
