Consumed with caring for baby means there’s absolutely no time for taking care of you! Before you give up, check out these quick fixes. There’s one for every hair type ? yes, even yours!

Your hair: Long and straight
The look: A sleek, chic ponytail (not the one that looks like you’ve just left the gym)

  • Step 1: Blow-dry your hair and flatten only the top layer with a straightening iron.
  • Step 2: Secure the ponytail with a thin hair band at the nape of your neck, and with a small section of hair from the underside of the ponytail, wrap the ponytail to cover the band.
  • Step 3: Finish with a shine-enhancing gloss cream.

Try: Frederic Fekkai Travel Size Glossing Cream, $9, Sephora.com

Your hair: Long and curly
The look: Natural, but still polished, curls (not the frizzed, bordering-on-dreadlocks style you’ve been sporting)

  • Step 1: Zap mostly dry hair with a blow-dryer for three to five minutes.
  • Step 2: Spritz with a light hairspray, wrap big sections around a few large Velcro rollers, and let them set for 20 to 30 minutes (extra time to make the bed, breastfeed, or catch up on the laundry).
  • Step 3: Twirl out the rollers and massage in some frizz-control cream for full, elegant waves.

Try: Redken Ringlet 07 Curl Perfector, $16, Folica.com

Your hair: Shoulder-length and straight
The look: A light, bouncy, long bob (not the one-side-matted-to-your-head style)

  • Step 1: Wet your matted ’do with a few squirts of water.
  • Step 2: Spritz in a volumizing spray to give your hair some extra boost.
  • Step 3: Blow-dry your hair using a round bristle brush.

Try: Oscar Blandi Volumizing Spray, $18, OscarBlandi.com

Your hair: Shoulder-length and curly
The Look: Soft, layered curls that frame your face (not the poufy, frumpy triangle you’ve been showing off)

  • Step 1: Work a dab of mousse into wet hair.
  • Step 2: Blow-dry with a diffuser, twirling a few curls around your finger as you go to add definition.
  • Step 3: Finish with a drop of shine serum.

Try: Samy Curl Constructor Activating Mousse, $6, Ulta.com

Your hair: Short and straight
The look:
A chic, modern bob (not the drab, unfinished style that looks more like your fourth-grade school photo)

  • Step 1: Smooth in a dollop of hair-straightening cream. Look for one that protects against heat.
  • Step 2: Blow-dry hair to set the cream.
  • Step 3: Use a straightening iron to get a sleek finish.

Try: CHI Straight Guard Smoothing Styling Cream, $13, Target.com

Your hair: Short and curly
The look: A tousled pixie (not the bumpy, totally slept-on version)

  • Step 1: Massage a touch of pomade through wet or dry hair.
  • Step 2: Use your fingers to twist and pick your hair until you’re happy.
  • Step 3: Spritz with hairspray to set.

Try: Kizzi Stay-Put Hair Pomade, $9.50, CarolsDaughter.com
